2026 Seedling & Soil Sale is Open!

Once again, we are pleased to offer over 40 varieties of locally-grown, organic seedlings for sale for your garden. Back again this year - Cowsmo premium organic potting mix to top off your beds and gardens. Our seedlings are cultivated using local compost, and are grown, transplanted, and hardened off right in the hoop houses on our farm, making them acclimated to the local climate, more disease-resistant, and more likely to thrive in your garden. Not only are you reducing your carbon footprint by buying seedlings that are not shipped from thousands of miles away, but you are also supporting a local ecosystem and building a healthier, more sustainable landscape. As 100% of the proceeds from our seedling sales support our urban farm, staff salaries, and our educational programs, your dollars are being reinvested right back into your community. 

How it Works

Pre-order your seedlings online during the sale, and your seedlings will be ready for pickup on your chosen pickup date. Pick up your seedlings at the farm (3669 Howard St. in Skokie). By reserving your seedlings in advance, you are ensuring that you get first pick of the best stock. Quantities are also limited, and we fill orders on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shop Early & Get a Discount with a Membership!

All Members, even at the entry-level tier, will receive 20% off seedlings in addition to priority access to our online store. If you’d like to join, sign up before you shop to get your discount code and secret password (available in your membership receipt after signing up) to enter the shop between March 19-23.
